The S684 ZZ is a miniature deep groove ball bearing with standard dimensions: 4mm inner diameter, 9mm outer diameter, and 4mm width. Structurally, it features a single row of balls running in deep grooved raceways, enabling it to handle radial loads and limited bidirectional axial loads. Both sides of the bearing are fitted with "ZZ" type metal shields. These stamped steel plates are crimped onto the outer ring, creating a sealed enclosure that effectively prevents the ingress of dust and fine particles while retaining the internal grease lubrication.

The double metal shields (ZZ) provide essential sealing, making it maintenance-free and extending service life in clean to moderately contaminated environments.
