The MR105 ZZ bearing features a standard miniature deep groove ball bearing structure with key dimensions of 5mm bore, 10mm outer diameter, and 4mm width. It has an open design equipped with double-sided pressed steel shields (identified by ZZ), which are fixed onto the outer ring via an interference fit and do not contact the inner ring. The internal structure includes high-precision steel balls and a cage, with continuous raceways on both inner and outer rings. It is typically manufactured from high-carbon chromium bearing steel (e.g., GCr15).

This bearing offers low frictional torque, high rotational speed capability, and smooth operation. The double-sided metal shields (ZZ) effectively prevent the ingress of dust and solid contaminants while retaining most of the grease, extending the bearing's service life and maintenance intervals. Its compact structure and light weight make it suitable for high-speed operation, while providing moderate radial load capacity and certain axial load capacity. As an open-type bearing, it also offers the possibility for re-lubrication (although ZZ shields are typically considered non-re-lubricable).

Typical scenarios include supporting rotors in small DC motors (e.g., drone motors, toy motors); drive shafts in precision measuring instruments and optical equipment (e.g., lens focusing mechanisms); rotating parts in office equipment (e.g., printer paper feed rollers, scanner heads); gearboxes in model cars; precision moving parts in medical devices (e.g., dental drills, micro-pumps); and the shaft centers of computer cooling fans.

Technical Specifications & Requirements:

The bearing is typically manufactured to ABEC-1 (or similar ISO, JIS standards) precision class. Grease lubrication is recommended, with common initial greases being high-speed, low-temperature types. During installation, appropriate tolerance fits for the shaft and housing must be ensured (typically shaft: k5/m5, housing: H6/H7), and direct hammering on the bearing should be avoided. The operating temperature range is usually -30°C to +120°C, depending on the grease type. Note that the shields are non-contact and not fully sealed; thus, they are not suitable for liquid or highly corrosive environments. Excessive axial loads should be avoided to prevent damage to the shields.
